about

The Fitchburg Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc. is a Wisconsin non-profit corporation exclusively organized for charitable and educational purposes. While it has not engaged in substantive past or present activities, its planned initiatives are centered on its mission to directly support The City of Fitchburg Police Department by providing additional resources for public services.

The Foundation's intended activities involve partnering with community organizations to financially support crucial purchases and innovative programs for the police department. These initiatives encompass acquiring essential equipment such as bullet-resistant vests, computers, and digital cameras, as well as supporting police-sponsored youth programs, contributing to the education and training of police officers and supervisors, and funding reward programs and citizen awareness efforts.

To achieve these objectives, the Fitchburg Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc. will utilize a formal grant proposal process. The board of directors will thoroughly review all proposals and make determinations regarding grant approvals. Contributions from various sources will be sought to obtain the necessary resources for funding these vital purchases and programs.

The Foundation's focus extends to making grants to the City of Fitchburg Police Department or individual Fitchburg police officers. These grants are intended to assist in funding supplemental services to the public, aligning with the Foundation's commitment to supporting the mission of The City of Fitchburg Police Department and fulfilling its exempt charitable purposes.
